Personal Web Space

On August 15th, 2011, Frontier will be migrating former Verizon personal webspace accounts to the new system. Some customers may see some changes to the service. These changes are listed below.

Will I still be able to use the Frontier Site Builder Service?
  • No. The Frontier Site Builder service will no longer be supported after the migration.
Will the web forms I created still function?
  • No. Web forms that were created prior to the migration will not function on the new system.
How do I access my webspace?
  • To access your webspace, open your browser and type in http://myplace.frontier.com/~username. The username is the part of your frontier email address before the @ symbol.
How much space do I have to create a web page?
  • The amount of space that you have for your personal web page depends on the service plan you have selected. You can easily see how much space you have available on the Frontier server by consulting the Frontier Account Editor: https://security.frontier.com/acctedit

Log in using your complete Frontier, FrontierNet, Citlink, NewNorth, Epix or Global Valley e-mail address. Click E-mail and Web Site Storage Usage.

Note that your web space is a hard limit programmed into our servers. You will not be able to exceed this limit. If you attempt to upload more than you have space for, you will receive an error message.
What is the name of the FTP server?
  • If your email address ends in @frontier.com, @myfrontiermail.com, or @ncnetwork.net, you can FTP files into and out of your available disk space by using the server ftp.frontier.com.
