Eudora v 6.1 for Mac
Step 1:
To enable SMTP Authentication in Eudora version 6.1 for Macintosh, open Eudora, click Special and then select Settings.

Step 2:
If your Mail Server (Checking Mail) is pop3.frontier.com, pop3.frontiernet.net, pop3.citlink.net, pop3.newnorth.net, or in.epix.net, and your SMTP Server (Sending Mail) is smtp.frontier.com, smtp.frontiernet.net, smtp.citlink.net, smtp.newnorth.net, or out.epix.net, make sure that your complete Frontier, FrontierNet, Citlink, Newnorth, or Epix e-mail address is entered in the Username field.
If your Mail Server (Checking Mail) and SMTP Server (Sending Mail) is mail.ctaz.com, make sure that your CTAZ e-mail address is entered in the Username field in the format of username@citlink.net (replace ctaz.com with citlink.net). Please note, this will not change your e-mail address.
Select Sending Mail.
If your Mail Server (Checking Mail) is anything other than pop3.frontier.com, pop3.frontiernet.net, pop3.citlink.net, mail.ctaz.com, pop3.newnorth.net, or in.epix.net, but your SMTP Server (Sending Mail) is smtp.frontier.com, smtp.frontiernet.net, smtp.citlink.net, mail.ctaz.com, smtp.newnorth.net, or out.epix.net, click here for further instructions.
If your SMTP Server (Sending Mail) is set to something other than smtp.frontier.com, smtp.frontiernet.net, smtp.citlink.net, mail.ctaz.com, smtp.newnorth.net, or out.epix.net, no changes need to be made at this time.

Step 3:
The box to the left of Allow authorization should be checked. Click OK to save any changes you may have made. That's it! SMTP authentication has been enabled.
